Biography
I have been 20 years in education, 15 of which have been in various school middle and senior leadership roles and have been a principal since 2017. This has been a significant time of personal and professional growth.
I have recently been appointed principal of Papakura High School, a decile one (lowest socio-economic rating) school in South Auckland. The school has 59% Māori students and 29% of pacific island ethnicity. The school is currently subject to government intervention but has undertaken significant positive changes over the last few years and has built a positive culture. My leadership challenge is to continue the momentum and to raise achievement and retention rates.
On a personal note, I am married to Lisa and father to two teenagers, Zoe and Aidan.
I’m looking forward to working with you as part of the Global Leaders Thrive Programme.
